What is it in us that makes it possible for us to heal based on our faith in a positive outcome?

This is the topic of a conversation with Dr. Linda Carlson, Enbridge Research Chair in Psychosocial Oncology and Full Professor in Psychosocial Oncology in the Department of Oncology, Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Carlson has published over 150 research papers and book chapters in the area of psycho-oncology.

What sustains me logoThe ‘What Sustains Me’ project is an experiential, first-person exploration of what could be called existential or spiritual issues. Each author writes a chapter, which is released independently as a formatted PDF. At a later point, all chapters will be gathered into a book.

The new chapter’s author, Jill van der Aa, was born in New Zealand but has lived since 1972 in the jill-van-der-aa Netherlands. She has had many different changes of occupation – teacher, cook, theatre director, actress, organiser of courses and trainings, massage therapist, body psychotherapist and now retired, currently General Secretary/Vice President of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy.
Jill van der Aa’s chapter, ‘The Space Between’ is now available for free download
